Opened June 5, 1999 After having farmed on the land for ten years,the family decided to fulfill a dream and take on the task of designing and building a nine hole golf course.The work started on the 2nd of January 1997.After two years of blood, sweat and tears the Grand opening was on the 5th of June 1999. The Course: The Golf Course is in the beautiful Wai-iti Valley where you can appreciate the peace and quiet of the countryside. It has splendid scenery and is rich in bird life. Water is a big factor all round the course. Not only do you have to conquer the many water traps but ther are also some very tricky greens to overcome as well. If you are looking for easy greens there are a couple but the majority are undulating.Our signature hole is a par three island green, Devil's Island.This is the only one of it's type in New Zealand. The Clubrooms/Shop: You can relax and enjoy a toasted sandwich with a cup of coffee or tea while you contemplate your next 9 holes. Or if you are eager to get back out there you can grab a cold drink and a chocolate bar instead. Hire clubs are avilable with trolley for $12.00 and a small assortment of golfing items are for sale.(tees etc.) Other Facilities Available: There are two B.B.Q. areas for hire, prior booking essential. One area has total privacy from the golfers and the other area allows you to watch what is happening on the 1st and 9th holes.For those that want neither of these two areas,you can picnic by the lake with the birds. PAINTBALL ARMAGEDDON Paintball and BLACKOPS has created the ultimate experience in Paintball excitement...semi-automatic mayhem...from the games you play, to the field you play on, the town of Purgatory, an apocalyptic town's ruins of dozens of burned out buildings, cars, street lights creating the eeriest of landscapes.
